About This Experience
Miravalles Volcano shapes the landscape north of Liberia, and at Las Hornillas you can see what is going on beneath it. The center sits on the volcano's slopes in Bagaces and is known for its fumaroles, where steam escapes from the ground, and for boiling mud pots that bubble at the surface. Your certified tour guide explains what you are looking at and keeps the group on the marked paths. The day also includes hanging bridges through the forest and a traditional Costa Rican lunch. We pick you up at your hotel in Guanacaste and bring you back at the end of the day.
