Best time to visit

The dry season (November–April) offers clearer trails and more predictable weather. The park opens at 8 AM; arriving early means fewer visitors on the trail and better wildlife sightings.

No swimming in the blue water

Swimming is strictly prohibited inside the national park at both the waterfall and the Blue Lagoon. The restriction protects the unique chemical and biological processes that create the river's iconic color. There is a free public river access point about 1 km past the park entrance where swimming is allowed.

Wear the right footwear

The trail has uneven roots and some muddy sections, especially during the green season. Closed-toe shoes or light hiking boots with grip are strongly recommended. Bring insect repellent and a light rain jacket.
